George Afriyie believes he is leaving his job as chairman of the Ghana U20 management committee in good hands.

Then GFA Executive Committee member has been handed a new task to lead the management team of the Black Stars.

Afriyie replaces Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi in that role having excelled as management chief of the Black Satellites.

His place is being taken by Wilfred Osei who was before then the Vice Chairman for the Ghana U17 management committee.

George Afriyie believes he is leaving his post with the Ghana U20 team in the hands of an astute, experienced and competent hand in Wilfred Osei.

“I am happy with what I did with the Black Satellites but I will remain an ardent follower of the side despite my new appointment [as management head of Black Stars],” he said.

“The person replacing me [Wilfred Osei] is also very competent and experienced when it comes to youth football and I have no doubts at all he will do a good job.

“But I will continue to visit the team and give advice whenever I can despite my new engagement with the Black Stars.”

The Ghana U20 team have qualified for the 2015 Africa Youth Championships which will be staged in Senegal.
