Leicester City to launch loan bid for Ghana striker Abdul-Majeed Waris
Abdul Majeed Waris is wanted by English side Leicester City

Ghana striker Abdul-Majeed Waris could join his compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp at Leicester City as the English side are keen on signing the attacker by next week.

According to reports in the English media, the Foxes are bent on signing the Russia-based striker before next week's transfer deadline.

Coach Nigel Pearson has put his scouts on the case as they are ready to convince the Ghanaian to make the switch to England.

Leicester will make an official season-long loan bid for the Spartak Moscow striker as they seek to boost their attacking options in the ENglish top-flight.

The Foxes will have the chance to make the deal permanent if they can pay $8m for the talented striker.

Waris is struggling to cement a regular place at Spartak Moscow sparking his interest to leave the club for other leagues in Europe at least on loan.

The Black Stars striker was one of the best strikers in France last season when he spent six months on loan with Valenciennes.
