Jeffery Schlupp might have not played under Craig Shakespeare but his regular play for Crystal Palace recently is a delight for the new Leicester City manager who is glad the former Foxes academy graduate is getting game time in South London.

The versatile Schlupp joined Crystal Palace from Leicester City for £12.5m in January, although the Ghanaian has struggled to hold down a first team spot since.

Speaking to â€‹Leicester Mercury, Shakespeare said, "It doesn't matter now what I wanted to do, the club made the decision.

"He was a player I had a lot of time for. He was a home-grown, coming through the academy, and he was well liked in the group.

"But he has moved on now and good to see him playing regular football, which he wanted.

"It is Palace's issue now and problem how to get him playing consistently. Hopefully he will get that chance at Palace."
