Leicester City have targeted Brazilian midfielder Walace Souza Silva in quest to find a replacement for Daniel Amartey who is expected to be away on international duty with Ghana in January.

Manager Claudio Ranieri is apparently in talks with the Gremio young holding midfielder over a possible switch to the King Power stadium, according to The Sun.

Amartey is expected to be out for a period of four week with Ghana ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ranieri is desperate to replace the Ghana international as the Premier League champions struggle to rediscover their form.

The Foxes climbed to 14th in the league with an impressive 4-2 victory over a hapless Manchester City side at the weekend.
