Leicester City will reject West Brom's improved £10m bid for their Ghanaian defender Jeffrey Schlupp, sources close the player have told Ghanasoccernet.com.

The insider says while the player is reluctant to leave because of the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League, the Foxes are unwilling to enter the transfer market to sign new players with prices rocketing sky high.

Albion are preparing a new and improved bid for the utility player after their first offer to sign the player failed last week.

West Brom saw their opening offer of £9m knocked back by the Premier League champions but haven't given up hope of landing the player.

They have also vowed to double the Ghanaian's wages as an added incentive to force the move.

Schlupp has received assurances that he will play a key part for Leicester City in the upcoming campaign with several competitions facing them.
