Jupp Heynckes' hopes of guiding Bayern Munich to another treble will be put to the test when the record German champions travel to in-form RB Leipzig in the second round of the DFB Cup on Wednesday night (kick-off 20:45CEST/18:45GMT).

Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhüttl is unlikely to heed the 'never change a winning team' adage, considering his side have a mammoth programme of fixtures which, including UEFA Champions League commitments, means they are in action almost three times a week. Some rotation is therefore inevitable. To that end, Kevin Kampl, Dayot Upamecano, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Marcel Halstenberg - all rested at the weekend - can all be expected to return, with Marcel Sabitzer starting after his weekend heroics, when he was thrust in at the last minute due to an injury to Bruma.

Bayern are more used to such hectic schedules, not least under Heynckes, with whom they won a Bundesliga, DFB Cup and UEFA Champions League treble in 2013. The experienced coach is also expected to ring the changes, starting with the injury-enforced absence of Thomas Müller, whose place should be taken by James Rodriguez. Javi Martinez is a minor doubt, but will replace Saturday's match-winner Corentin Tolisso if passed fit. At the back, Jerome Boateng could be rotated in for Niklas Süle.
