Playing for Levante since the second half of 2009/10, after having already been a youth player for Granotes in the 90's, Spanish centre-back Juanfran Garcia, who will turn 40 years old next July 15, announced he's quitting football as a professional player, despite regretting leaving the team while they are getting relegated to Liga Adelante. A national team player from 2000 to 2003, Juanfran, throughout his own career, has also worn shirts from AEK Athens, Real Zaragoza, Besiktas, Ajax, Celta Vigo and Valencia.
