Liberty Professionals director George Afriyie says he is confident the side will clinch second spot in the Premier League by the end of the season.

The Dansoman-based club are currently third on the league log going into the final round of matches on Sunday.

Liberty would however finish second once they are able to beat Hasaacas and Asante Kotoko also does the job on Aduana Stars due to their superior head-to-head record over Aduana.

And club director George Afriyie is certain the final round jostling will favour his side to achieve their highest finish ever in the Ghanaian top flight.

"I am confident Liberty will finish second," he said.

"I am no soothsayer but then when you make the calculations, we will beat Hasaacas and then Kotoko will beat Aduana.

"And since we have a better head-to-head record, on the same 46 points we will be ahead of Aduana. That is second position."
