Liberty Professionals goalkeeper Daniel Agyei claims he’s Ghana’s safest pair of hands, declaring he does not ‘panic’ in post as he eyes a swift return to the Black Stars

The 25-year-old has been touting his credentials after turning up fine performances for the scientic soccer lads on his return to the local scene.

The former Free State Stars shot-stopper has been frozen out of the Black Stars and left out of the squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

But the former Ghana Under-20 star claims he has the quality to return to the Black Stars.

“Everybody knows me and what I can do. I have been in the team in the past and can stake a claim for a position,” he said

“When I’m in post I do not panic and that’s clear. I’m doing well for Liberty and for anyone who has really monitored my performance, I keep improving.

“It’s up to the coach to call me or otherwise. I am just waiting for the chance to return to the team.

“The quality is there and I believe when I get the chance, I can fight for the position on merit.”

The Ghana FA has admitted its facing goalkeeping crisis with current number one Razak Brimah coming under intense criticism over his perceived lack of confidence.

There are doubt hovering around Fatau Dauda and Stephen Adams while American-based Adam Kwarsey has called temporal time on his international career.
