Liberty Professional wing-wizard Latif Blessing claims claims he turned down several offers to continue with his development with the Ghanaian side.
Blessing,17, emerged on the radar of several top clubs home and abroad.
African champions TP Mazembe had been strongly linked with the hugely talented winger with reports claiming a deal had almost been reached with Liberty for his signature.
But the highly-rated youngster opted to stay with the scientific soccer lads to continue with his development.
"It's important for me to keep playing well. I am very young and have the future ahead of me," he said
"There was no need to rush. I want to take my time and mature.
"Of course several clubs in Africa and Europe were interested in me but I had to take a decision.
"I am happy I stayed with Liberty. Opportunities will come once I keep playing well.
"I feel it's better for me to mature before I'm overtaken by events."
Blessing emerged as one of the most exciting players in his debut season last term.
He tore defenders apart with his wizardly, prompting several clubs to enquire about his availability.
