Lionel Messi set to visit Ghana soon for charity work

Barcelona star Lionel Messi will soon be visiting Ghana for a charity project, according to the Country Director of ASPIRE Dreams Academy Captain Andy Sam.

The foundation of the Argentine star, Leo Messi Foundation, will be in country for he ‘Football Combating Malaria’ project.

The programme is aimed at donating anti-mosquito bed nets to young people and their families across Africa to help reduce malaria infection across the continent.

Sam made this revelation at the 9th Media Launch of the Academy’s recruiting programme.

He said: “Plans are far advance to bringing Lionel Messi to Ghana sooner than later to support the Aspire Academy’s ‘Football Combating Malaria’ project.”
