Heart of Lions goalkeeper Joseph Addo was heavily hit by the ravaging rains that hit Accra and its environs on Tuesday night, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Addo's properties running into millions of Ghana cedis were swept away by the torrential downpour as he had to seek refuge somewhere.

"I could not take a pin out of my house because the rains destroyed all," Addo said.

''My television, clothes, refrigerator, Dvd's, sound system and lots more were taken away by the heavy rains and so at the moment it’s a bad situation for all of us.

"I had to go away and stay with a friend so I can save my life at that time.''

Addo is likely to be in post when Heart of Lions face leaders Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
