Heart of Lions coach Sarfo Castro is excited about his side progress in the off-season.

The former Asante Kotoko assistant coach watched his side defeat SC Medeama 3-0 in Tarkwa last week.

Castro has been tasked to revive the side which finished 12th last season.

He believes his charges have adopted in his system and would be in best shape to face Berekum Chelsea on October 7 in their Ghana Premier League opener.

"There have been a lot of improvement and I'm very happy about it. We were able to beat Medeama in Tarkwa," Castro told Accra-based Happy FM.

"I believe we will be ready for the Chelsea test when the league starts."

Castro also believes the decision of the club's bankroller Victor Ahiakpor to concentrate on the club will help bring positive results.

"Now, Victor has decided to participate fully in the club and that is helping the boys a lot."
