Ten-man Ghana pulled off remarkable achievement by defying an intimidating home crowd to defeat Gabon 4-1 in Libreville on Saturday playing to seal qualification to the 2015 African Youth Championship to be held in Senegal early next year.

There were huge fears among Ghana fans that the Black Satellites will fall to the Gabonese in the return leg of the final qualifier after being held to a goalless draw in the first-leg in Accra two weeks ago.

However, the Ghana U20 player defied the cynics and critics to put up a display that would delight both their friends and haters alike to seal qualification for the competition.

Talented midfielder Asiedu Attobrah opened the scoring early on in the first half and Yaw Yeboah of Right to Dream made it 2-0 to end the first half.

After the break, Sellas Tetteh’s charges were in still in firm control and added the third through Samuel Afful.

Gabon reduced the deficit from the spot which resulted in the sending off of midfielder Kofi Yeboah.

Prosper Kassim round up the team’s commanding display with the fourth goal.

Ghana will join six others from the qualifiers and hosts Senegal for the 2015 African Youth Championship.

Ghana U20 starting line-up: Siedu Mutawakilu-Owusu Bempah, Patrick Asmah, Stephen Anokye Badu, Joseph Adjei-Kofi Yeboah, Asiedu Attobrah,Yaw Yeboah, Prosper Kassim-Denis Tetteh, Sulley Mohammed.

This victory is not a surprise to any good football supporter and analysist. Please I'm also sorry for the JOURNALISTS or say the PRESENTERS of " FIRE PROGRAM" on ADOM TV. I urge them to be a bit wise in tackling certain situations on our PRESIDENT,FOOTBALL COACHES as well as FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Also A BIG HELL goes to one cottage caller who during the recent "fire program" called and asked for a replacement of SELLAS TETTEH. KUDOS to Sellas Tetteh and his Boys. I know you'll do it.

When it comes to football Nigeria cant compare themsevels with Ghana. The whole Africa football teams cant compare themselves with Ghana. Egypt I will say they are closer to Ghana but they never been to World cup in this 21 century. Only Africa cup of nations that they took more than Ghana. But Nigeria no way poor them. During 1960s Ghana keep on scoring Nigeria 9 zero up to now hehehehe! Abedi Pele score goals against Nigeria during his reign to kept Ghana classically.

I'm ghanaian yet find everything wrong with samedge's comment. Qualifying for the world cup doesn't a great team make, winning trophies, however small, does. So please, we can't compare to egypt at all. Not now

If Nigeria is claiming to be good, then they should take the under 20 world cup and stop the noise making.Ghana has taken it and no other African country has done it before.
