Nigeria demolished ten-man Ghana 6-1 in Group B of the Africa U17 Championship in Morocco on Sunday, establishing their superiority over their West African  arch rivals.

Golden Eaglets striker Isaac Success announced his presence in the tournament by scoring four goals that completely bamboozled and the dazed Black Starlets.

Led by some awesome all-round play and top-notch goal-scoring display from their aptly named striker Success, the Nigerians were simply brilliant.

The Group B encounter between the West African sides was pacey and packed with some entertaining football throughout but in particular the first half.

Success opened the scoring with a cool finish on 10 minutes before Bulbwa added the second from a counter-attack in the 30th minute.

The way Nigeria was creating chances there was always going to be an avalanche of goals and the second arrived.

After missing a couple of chances , Bulbwa latched onto through ball, the product of some fine build –up and calmly side footed past Lawrence Ati for Nigeria’s second.

Ghana almost hit back after some fine work involving Yaw Yeboah and Isaac Twum but the final shot by Emmanuel Oti though on target was saved by Adeyinka Adewale.

Nigeria profited from another break and Success was at his predatory best to finish the move in the 40th minute.

He went on a run on the left side and riding over tackles he managed to hit a left shot across goal into Ati’s bottom left hand corner to give Nigeria a 3-0 lead.

The Eaglets were so composed and comfortable on the ball that chances were created from all over the field with every man in a green shirt as much a threat to Ghanaian goal as the next one.

The applause and appreciation by the crowd at half time testified to the brilliant football the Eaglets had displayed.

The Black Starlets hit the post from a header after a free-kick and soon the right flank was proving a fruitful avenue for crosses and for brief period the Nigeria defending capabilities were tested.

The Black Starlets continued to tread attack for attack with the formidable Nigerians and were made to pay for this in the 60th minute when Bulbwa raced onto a through ball only to be brought down in the box by Ati who had rushed of his goal line.

Ati was sent off and Mohamed Ali took over the gloves but was beaten from the spot by Success for his hat-trick.

Down to ten men and 4-1 down Ghana managed to score a consolation goal, a well taken rasping low shot from inside the box by Yaw Yeboah.

Three minutes later Success made it five for Nigeria with another fine finish and there was still enough time for Iheancho to complete the demolition exercise in stoppage time.

Ghana are now firmly at the bottom of Group B after Ivory Coast and Congo played out to a 1-1 draw in the group's other game on Sunday
