Marseille attacking midfielder Andre Ayew wants to leave the French outfit for a bigger club and could well be on the move this summer as a result.

Ayew has just one year on his contract at Marseille and has already been linked with a number of sides, including Liverpool and Newcastle, while the player himself recently owned up to solid interest from Napoli.

The Ghana midfielder, who has admitted he would be unable to refuse an offer from Liverpool, has taken the decision to leave Marseille for a bigger European club, according to French daily La Provence.

That means Ayew will not extend a contract which has just one year left to run and places Marseille in a tricky position.

The likeliest outcome is a transfer for the 24-year-old this summer.

Ayew has been included in Ghana's World Cup squad and a series of good performances in Brazil could yet prompt a scramble for his services this summer, particularly with the midfielder being prepared to quit the Stade Velodrome.

A product of Marseille's youth system, Ayew made 25 appearances in Ligue 1 for the club in the recently-concluded season, scoring six goals.
