Andre Ayew could leave Marseille in the summer

Marseille are planning to cash in on Andre Ayew in the summer, with the talented player one of several high-profile players considered available for transfer, putting Liverpool and Newcastle on alert for the Ghana winger.

The Stade Velodrome outfit are bidding to start a new era for 2014/15 and this has led to an acceptance that large offers for star performers will have to be accepted.

According to L'Equipe, Ayew, along with goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, defender Nicolas N'Koulou, midfielder Mathieu Valbuena and striker Andre-Pierre Gignac, are players Marseille will listen to offers for.

While all are unlikely to depart, Marseille want to turn over a new leaf, with interim coach Jose Anigo telling a press conference last week: "What is certain is that this squad must be renewed.

"Some players are old and may need to take on another challenge."

Ayew for one will not be short of suitors, with the news he can leave Marseille for the right price surely having placed them on alert.

Liverpool and Newcastle made contact with the Ghana star's camp in August â€“ and Ayew has put the Reds in the driving seat.

"I have heard that Liverpool want me", Ayew said last year.

"If they come for me, I will say 'yes'. I was a fan of the club in my childhood."
