LIVERPOOL - Odd ARSENAL clause on FIRMINO\'s contract

Published on: 06 December 2016

According to Football-Leaks feature reported by Belgian paper Le Soir, an odd clause was put by Liverpool on their contract with Brazilian international attacking midfielder/half-forward Roberto Firmino (25). Former Hoffenheim player, who joined Reds in summer 2015, might be released by his deal with them only through a staggering 98 million euros offer; such rule apply to every club in the world, except, apparently, for Arsenal. According to reports, such a detail would stand for a kind of revenge against Arsène Wenger, who, back in summer 2013, tried to sign Uruguayan star striker Luis Alberto on less than half the request then set on him (which ended up being fulfilled by Barcelona FC).
