Local Black Stars depart for CHAN tournament

Ghana's home-based national team will leave Kenya on Tuesday afternoon for the African Nations Championship in Sudan.

The team completed a 12-day training tour of Nairobi and played three friendly – one win, one defeat and one draw.

The local Black Stars have been joined by head coach Herbert Addo and four players who joined Aduana Stars for their Caf Champions League first leg tie in Morocco last Sunday.

The side will play South Africa's Amabinneplaas in their opening Group B match Saturday on 5 February at Wad Madany which is some 200km from the capital Khartoum.

The local Black Stars will then play Zimbabwe, a side they drew 2-2 with at the last edition, on 9 February.

The final Group match will be against Niger on 13 February at the same venue.
