Local coaches snub vacant Black Stars job; a total 18 applications received

Ex-international Kim Grant was the only Ghanaian among the 18 who applied for the vacant Black Stars coaching job but no indigenous trainer forwarded his CV.

The former Woking manager has been consistent in his approach and remains confident for one of the attractive jobs on the continent.

The Ghana Football Association deadline for receiving applications expired at 5pm yesterday (Friday) 19 September.

Former Black Stars coach Milovan Rajavac was among the list of applicants.

The list includes Argentine trio Ricardo Gareca, De Felipe Omar and Trotta Roberto.

Portuguese Jose Alberto Barosso, Switzerland assistant coach Michel Pont and German tactician Peter Obermeyer.

Englishman Boby Davidson, former Pakistan coach Zarvisa Milosaljevic and Leonid Kuchuk who stepped down days ago as coach of Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow have applied.
