KSC Lokeren manager Peter Maes has heaped praises on Ghanaian youngster Eugene Ansah after his show of masterclass in Lokeren's 3-0 win over KV Oostende on Boxing Day.

Ansah, 19, marked his full debut for the Tricolores and scored a classy finish in the 27th minute and contributing to the third goal before being replaced four minutes from time.

The former Liberty Professionals youth team player had to step into the shoes of absentees Hamdi Harbaoui and Jordan Remacle was a bigger mantle for the rather inexperienced Ghana but he weathered the storm and scored to mark his full debut.

"He is a talented guy, but have to keep working hard. There was still too much waste in his game," Maes told Sporza.

Ansah was playing just his third game of the season for the first team squad this season.
