Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Lucas Perez is simply a victim of circumstance.
The Spaniard scored his seventh goal in nine starts for the Gunners in their 2-0 win at Sutton United in the fifth round of the FA Cup last night.
Asked of Perez's status within the Arsenal squad, Wenger told Arsenal.com: "Yes, he is pushing on the door but I have many strikers.
"I have (Olivier) Giroud, (Danny) Welbeck, (Theo) Walcott, Alexis (Sanchez) and Lucas.
"It is true that he deserves a go because he scores goals and is a good player."
