Luis Suarez ended a goalless drought with strikes either side of half-time as Barcelona ran out 3-0 winners against Leganes to provisionally extend their lead atop the La Liga table on Saturday.

Suarez had been held without a goal in his last five games in all competitions, dating back to his late equaliser against Atletico Madrid on Oct. 14.

But the Uruguayan tapped home from close range in the 28th minute after Ivan Cuellar spilled a save from a cross right into the Uruguayan's path, and then volleyed in his second on the hour mark from a rebound following a Paco Alcacer shot.

Paulinho added a third for Ernesto Valverde's team before full-time, poking home from close range after the ball fell to him following a nice buildup in the area by Barca.

Barca now enjoy a seven-point lead over second-placed Valencia, who play Sunday, and are 11 points above both Real Madrid and Atletico before the two meet in a derby later on Saturday.
