Luke Shaw's agent plays down talk of Manchester United departure

Craig Burley reacts to Jose Mourinho's confirmation that Man United are in talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a new deal.

Luke Shaw's agent has rejected speculation Manchester United could look to sell the defender.

Shaw, 22, has been linked with a switch to Tottenham this week as part of a swap deal that would see fellow left-back Danny Rose move the other way.

The England international has come in for criticism from United boss Jose Mourinho in the past, but his representative, Jonathan Barnett, says he is going nowhere.

"Manchester United love him and Luke Shaw loves Manchester United," Barnett told IBTimes UK. "Luke Shaw is going to be one of the best left-backs in the world."

Shaw is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but Mourinho said earlier this summer that he hopes he will return to action in September.
