Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo triumphed over his mentor Asamoah Gyan as the latter's Norwegian side Songdal defeated Shanghai SIPG 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in Spain on Saturday.

The two Ghana internationals are holding their clubs' pre-season training in Spain which resulted in the two teams to play in a friendly.

However, it was Otoo who came on top as his new promoted Norwegian top-flight side won the game despite the presence of top notch players in the Chinese side coached by former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

The two Ghanaians were not on the scoring chart despite being in action as strikers for their clubs.

It was an opportunity for the two players to meet outside the Black Stars camp where Gyan mentors Otoo to become the next big attacker from Ghana.
