Ghana's Under-17 female team are trimming the rough edges for next month's Fifa Women's World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Black Maidens are in top gear and have scored more than 20 goals in four friendly matches against some less profile sides in the United States.

The team drew their penultimate friendly encounter against Columbus University 2-2 on Sunday and wrap up their preparations against University of Alabama on Tuesday.

Head coach Abraham Allotey’s side will depart for the World Cup on Thursday where they tackle powerhouse Brazil, Canada and Japan in Group D.
