WAFA midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has labeled his late Black Stars call up as a "dream come true".

The skilful attacking midfielder was handed a late call up to the Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah alongside his midfield partner at WAFA, Gideon Waja for the team's upcoming international friendlies against Mexico and USA which is scheduled to come off on June 28 and July 1 respectively.

The bushy-haired playmaker said he caught off guard with the call but one that he's been dreaming ever since he started playing career during an interview with Kumasi based Abusua FM.

"It’s a dream come true because every Ghanaian player hopes to play for the Black Stars and so I am happy to be invited into the team for the Mexico and USA friendlies."

He added ”he call up came as a surprise to me because I never expected it but I’m just joining the team to do showcase my talent and also learn a lot from the experience players in the team."

He and Waja have been instrumental in WAFA meteoric rise to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table
