Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris expects a devastating comeback against Anger on Saturday afternoon when the two clash in the French Ligue 1.

The Black Stars striker who made his debut appearance for the French side against Bastia sustained a slight wrist injury which ruled him out of the clubs last two games.

The 23-yaer-old missed out on Ghana’s AFCON 2017 qualifier against Rwanda after picking up an injury days before the international break but he has however recovered in time to make the team for this weekend’s clash against Angers in the French Ligue 1.

Lorient are yet to record a win in the league this season after four round of games and would be hoping the return of Waris would aid them to account for Angers.

Waris earlier had some challenges with his work permit ruling him out of the first game for his side against Olympigue Lyonnais which ended goalless and the Black Stars striker has insisted that his desire to impact in the Ligue 1 begins on Saturday at the Stade Yves Allainmat-Le Moustoir.

"It is the desire of every player to play for his club. The club bought me to make an impact for them and it starts the moment you take your shirt. It will be great to start the game because it will show the confidence the coach has in me. It will be a great experience", Waris told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I couldn't play the first game against Lyon because of my work permit and had a wrist injury against Bastia but am fit now. So I will be ready for selection", he added.

Waris will be enjoying his second appearance in the French Ligue 1 after a loan stint with Valencienes from Spartak Moscow in 2013 and is eager to replicate his performance for Lorient as the season has already zoomed into action.
