The Chief Executive of Football Association Malawi Charles Suzgo Nyirenda has termed their final 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Ghana as a 'do or die affair'.

The Black stars host the Flames in the first leg tie on 8 September and the return leg in Lilongwe on 14 October.

The winner of the two-legged tie will qualify to the finals to hosted by South Africa in January next year.

Nyirenda told Sunyani-based Storm FM: "We are preparing very well for this particular match because everybody knows the calibre of the Ghana team but actually it is not as strong as we know previously

"All of us have reminded ourselves about how important this match is and I can say that to Malawi, this match is a do or die affair and hopefully, we will cause a shock

"Don’t forget we have played all the giants in Africa including Egypt, Zambia,South Africa and Nigeria so it is not anything new playing Ghana and we are even happy the first leg is in Ghana."

The Black Stars will begin camping on Sunday with 24 players named for the tie.
