Malik Akowuah is too expensive for Ghanaian clubs: Medeama insist

Published on: 20 May 2016

Medeama deputy communications director Patrick Akoto has noted that no Ghanaian club can pay for the services of in former player Malik Akowuah considering his price tag.

Akowuah has been impressive for the Tarkwa based side in both the CAF Confederation Cup and the Ghana Premier League.

His current performance has earned him several suitors with the notable among them been Asante Kotoko.

But Patrick Akoto says the price tag on Akowuah is far beyond the strengths of Ghanaian clubs.

’’ Medeama will not deny any club who wants to buy Malik Akowuah because we need money to balance our expenditure book but the issue is that the amount that we are looking for is beyond the capacities of all Ghanaian clubs due to his caliber of player’’. He told Cape Coast-based ATL FM.

Medeama is looking forward to winning the Confederations Cup after eliminating Mamelodi Sundown to reach the money zone of the competition.
