Malik Jabir gets Kotoko appointment

Asante Kotoko have appointed club legend Malik Jabir as technical advisor to the Executive Chairman and team manager for the first team.

Jabir is expected to provide the board with first hand information on team and also aid Serb head coach Bogdan Korak.

He replaces George Asare, who is said to moving abroad to pursue academic interests, as team manager.

The 65-year-old has been in and out of the club in a coaching capacity after his playing career and last handled in the 2005/2006 season.

Jabir was appointed technical advisor at Nigerian Premier League side Kano Pillars in August 2008.

He guided Kotoko to their last African title in 1983.
