Man City boss Guardiola: Monaco system perfect for Falcao

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has big concerns facing Champions League opponents AS Monaco.

Guardiola has never failed to reach the semi-finals in seven seasons as a boss.

But he warned: “Their strikers Radamel Falcao and Valere Germain are killers in the box.

“The full-backs play like wingers and the wingers play like attacking midfielders. They are a complete team."

French league leaders Monaco have smashed in 76 goals this term — 13 more than anyone else in the continent's big five leagues.

Falcao, 31, flopped on loan at Manchester United and Chelsea in the past two seasons. But the Colombian hitman has banged in 22 goals since returning to Monaco.

Guardiola added: “He had tough injuries and you need time for that.

“The system and the way they play now is perfect for him.

“They attack inside and cross a lot — and this kind of player needs that."
