Man City boss Pellegrini implores his team to continue title fight

Manuel Pellegrini is holding hope that Manchester City can still win the Premier League title.

City were beaten 2-1 at home by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, making it two defeats in a row to title rivals at the Etihad Stadium following last weekend's loss to Leicester City.

The 2012 and 2014 champions sit fourth on the table, six points behind the Foxes, and four in arrears of Spurs and Arsenal but Pellegrini is not yet throwing in the towel.

"The last two results we had here at home were very bad," he said.

"We never expected not to win a very important six points but we must continue fighting.

"I saw a very good reaction from the team. We have 36 points more to play for. It is very important to start working again and believe all things can happen."
