The football world is awash with gossip. Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals and potential deals here.

TOP STORY: Asensio set for €500m buyout clause

With Marco Asensio's star currently soaring, Real Madrid are set to offer the 21-year-old a lucrative new contract to ward off any potential suitors, according to Marca.

In a world where buyout clauses are fair game following Neymar's move to Paris Saint-Germain, Madrid are hoping to insert a new one in Asensio's deal to ensure they won't be in danger of losing him.

The Spain international currently has a contract running until 2022 with a buyout clause of €350 million, but Madrid want to up that to €500m to secure his future -- and put him on a similar level when it comes to release clauses as key players such as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have higher buyout clauses at Madrid, with release fees of €1 billion.

To ensure Asensio commits himself to Madrid, the European champions are also set to raise his salary from €3.5m-a-year to €4.5m, while also extending his contract to 2023.

23.00 BST: Newcastle are pondering bringing back Andy Carroll on loan. Rafa Benitez is desperate to sign a striker and reports out of England claim the former Geordie Carroll is on his radar. 21.30 BST: Speaking after Arsenal's 1-0 defeat to Stoke, Arsene Wenger hinted that there is still transfer business to be done.

"I expect players to go because we have too many players, it's not manageable and many clubs are in this situation that's why the transfer market is quiet.

"We have 33 players at the moment and that's too many", said Wenger.

Lucas Perez, Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs are three players expected to be sold before the deadline shuts.

21.15 BST: Amid rumours with Robert Snodgrass, Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has publically stated that they will not be signing the player. Grayson went on to say:"The only way we'll get him is a loan deal. There won't be too many clubs able to afford him in the Championship, if they can they have serious money.

"But he's a player I like and will ask the question about his availability, like a lot of other managers."

Snodgrass seems almost certain to leave West Ham before the summer window closes.

21.05 BST: Hull City's Sam Clucas sat out the Tigers contest with QPR amid transfer rumours linking him with a Premier League move. Hull manager Leonid Slutsky confirmed that Clucas is on the way out saying, "Clucas is preparing to play for another club. I think a deal has been agreed.

"It was his decision not to play, but in the next days I think a deal will be announced. It is a Premier League club. I think it is a decision made all together but it was his as well."

Swansea seems the likeliest destination as the Welsh club seek a replacement for do-everything midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

20.52 BST: Despite interest from West Brom, the Times claim that Mamadou Sakho would prefer a return Crystal Palace or move to West Ham. The exiled defender spent last season on loan at Palace but Liverpool have stated they will not loan the player out again and will only permanently sell.

Palace are also interested in RB Leipzig winger Oliver Burke, confirmed manager Frank de Boer. The Scottish talent only moved to Germany last season but is reportedly interested in moving back closer to home.

"He (Burke) is a very young, promising Scottish player. He's from Great Britain so it's always interesting to see those kind of players. He's still very young, maybe, but we are also focusing on other players", said the Dutch manager.

20.28 BST: Goncalo Guedes has been dropped from the Paris Saint-Germain squad to face Toulouse on Sunday, amid speculation that he could be offered to Monaco as a makeweight in any potential move for Kylian Mbappe. 20.10 BST: It's not been a very good evening for Arsenal fans following their side's defeat to Stoke, but The Sun is at least reporting that the club are leading the race to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. Negotiations could talk place over the next few days with Inter looking to offload him.

19.53 BST: AC Milan have spent a load of cash this summer and, according to coach Vincenzo Montella, they still want to spend a bit more... "We are all working very hard, day and night," he said. "Before the transfer window closes, something could happen. It will depend on the opportunities the transfer market could offer us."

19.29 BST: AS is also reporting that Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri has a €40 million buyout clause in his contract, which Barcelona are set to pay next week.
