Man Utd and Man City negotiating China friendly

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly in discussions to play a pre-season friendly in China this coming summer.

The Daily Mail is reporting the fixture is set to take place on July 29 or 30 in either Beijing or Shanghai.

The match is likely to be one of the first matches in charge for Pep Guardiola, who will take over as City manager at the end of the season.

City agreed to tour the region after China Media Group bought a 13 per cent stake in the club.

It is understood the match is close to being confirmed, with the Red Devils set to spend 10 days in the Far East despite current manager Louis van Gaal reportedly questioning the logic behind playing a pre-season derby match.
