Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand can see Wayne Rooney leaving.
Rooney continues to be linked with a move to China this week.
Speaking on BT Sport, Ferdinand said: "Ultimately, Wayne Rooney will be the person who decides when he leaves. He wants to play football, he's a real good professional. He won't want to be sitting on the bench... that'll be hurting him.
"He's got pride, he's got ego. He wants to get out there playing constantly. If he can't do it at Manchester United, I'm sure he'll hold his hands up and say 'Maybe I'm not good enough for Manchester United any more, I'll have to go on to pastures new'."
