Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has given high praise to Southampton in the wake of Sunday's EFL Cup final.
The Saints fought back courageously at Wembley to make it 2-2 through a Manolo Gabbiadini brace after United had lead by two goals late in the first half.
A late Zlatan Ibrahimovic header denied Claude Puel's side the chance to recreate history after their 1976 FA Cup triumph over United but it certainly was a difficult affair for Mourinho and his men which the Portuguese admits he was scared of.
"This game was a tricky final, Southampton are a club that is growing," he said.
"They have good players, a good coach, their fans were the same number as our fans, so this was a tricky kind of final.
"I was afraid of this one more than the other finals when you know another giant is the other side. This one was tricky."
