Man Utd see £40M Eric Dier as Michael Carrick successor

Published on: 29 March 2017

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is chasing Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier.

The Sun says he has long been an admirer of Dier — valued at more than £40million — and believes he is the man to succeed Michael Carrick in the centre of his midfield.

And Mourinho has the backing to spend big.

Another revamp, another overhaul, another attempt to topple some of the biggest clubs in English football.

Word is out that a striker, central midfielder and a classy centre-half are top priorities for Manchester United.

Doing business with Tottenham is fraught with complications, but Mourinho is a firm admirer of the England player.
