Man Utd U21 coach Joyce on Powell comeback: So far, so good

Manchester United U21 coach Warren Joyce says Nick Powell is in good spirits after his playing return this week.

The midfielder played for 55 minutes on Monday night as Joyce's Under-21s lost 2-0 at Norwich City's Carrow Road, and then worked with Louis van Gaal's group in front of the cameras at the Aon Training Complex on Tuesday morning.

Joyce told MUTV: "He played 45 minutes last week [in a training game], and then 55 minutes on top of quite a hard week.

"It's a case of managing the minutes with him, just to try to get him through really and back to near full fitness. He has a way to go yet but he's worked really hard.

"He's had no signs of breaking down again and that is a pleasing aspect of it. So far, so good."
