Man Utd veteran Ibrahimovic: I don\'t need Champions League to stay

Published on: 27 February 2017

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rubbished claims he won't sign a new deal if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Ibra has dropped the strongest hint yet that he will stay where he is after admitting there is no other club or manager he wants to play for before he retires.

He said: "No, it's not about that. I came here and the club wasn't in the Champions League.

"So I it had nothing to do with the Champions League. So somebody made up a story that if they don't qualify for the Champions League I will not extend.

"It has nothing to do with that. Let's see what happens."
