Manchester City linked with Kwadwo Asamoah deal

Manchester City are tracking Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, according reports in the English media.

City chiefs have been spotted in Udine on a scouting mission in recent weeks fueling talk of a move for Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler.

However, local sources say the real target for their attention was 22-year-old Ghana international Asamoah.

City boss Roberto Mancini has followed Asamoah's progress since he was an 18 year-old.

He is convinced he would thrive in the hurly-burly of the Premier League.

Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo is adamant they're no longer a selling club, though City's spending power could change his mind.
