Manchester City ready to land Napoli’s Ghoulam

With his Napoli future set to end in the summer, it looks as though Manchester City are preparing a €13 million bid in order to land Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Algerian has been a firm fixture in Maurizio Sarri’s side in recent seasons, but the two parties have struggled to reach an agreement on a new contract.

Corriere del Mezzogiorno states that Ghoulam has refused Napoli’s offer of â‚¬2m a campaign, as his agent Alessandro Moggi and Aurelio De Laurentiis are reportedly not on the best of terms.

As a result a summer move seems the likeliest outcome, with Tuttomercatoweb suggesting Manchester City have already set aside â‚¬13m to sign the Algerian.

While it remains to be seen whether Napoli will accept the Premier League club’s offer, what is certain is that the Citizens are the only side lurking in the shadows, with PSG also a fan of the former Saint-Etienne man.

Ghoulam has failed to hit the back of the net in 127 appearances for Napoli since joining the club back in 2014.
