English side Manchester City have signed Ghanaian youth striker Godsway Donyoh from the Right to Dream Academy on transfer deadline day, the club have announced.

Donyoh, 18, has immediately been sent on loan to Swedish Allsvenskan league side Djurgårdens IF.

The young striker whose striking potentials have been praised by City's youth talent developers, has been training with the Swedish side’s first-team and it’s now been confirmed that the decision has been taken for him to continue his footballing education in the Allsvenskan league.

Djurgårdens manager Magnus Pehrsson expressed his delight with the signing.

“The combination that Donyoh is a talented player who fits into our style of play and that Manchester City believes in him makes him an interesting addition to our squad,” he said.

Donyoh becomes the second Ghanaian player signed by the Ittihad Stadium side after the signing of defender Dominic Oduro who has been loaned to Danish side AGF.
