Marcel Desailly tips Ghana for Brazil 2014
Marcel-Desailly says Ghana will qualify to Brazil 2014.

Former France captain Marcel Desailly believes Ghana are on course to secure a third consecutive FIFA World Cup qualification berth.

The Ghanaian-born has praised head coach Kwesi Appiah and the Ghana Football Association for doing the right things in the qualifiers

Ghana are placed second with nine points; one point behind leaders Zambia in Group D.

Desailly told Joy Sports: "I'm very pleased to see that they have used a local coach, Kwasi Nyantakyi has done very well since I told him I was not ready for the position and they appointed Kwasi Appiah who is doing very well.

"Zambia is still there hanging but I think we can do well and qualify and potentially I think we can surprise the world again at the World Cup."

Ghana will play Lesotho in Maseru on Sunday in the penultimate round qualifier.
