Ghana and Maritzburg united defender John Paintsil has lauded the quality in the Ghana Premier league after witnessing the game between Kotoko and Medeama.
Paintsil who has revived his career in the South African Premier League was in the stands in Tarkwa to see Medeama take on Kotoko.
He says the quality displayed on the pitch was impressive.
“Since I came down to Ghana I have seen a couple of games but this one Medeama vrs Kotoko was very impressive,†the Ghana defender told Kasapa FM.
“There were beliefs that the Ghana League is dying but this game shows that the league is very much alive.
“You could see the quality of football despite the challenge with the playing surface.
“Both Kotoko and Medeama sold out a very good game and you could see everyone is happy.â€
