Andre Ayew believes Marseille can qualify for Champions League

Marseille ace Andre Ayew believes the club are capable of clinching third in the Ligue 1 and qualify for a Champions League spot at the end of the season.

Les Phocéens are now fifth on the table and 18 points behind the leaders PSG.

Head coach Jose Anigo’s side have not  lost a match in five Ligue 1 matches and are in the running

"I've always believed we can do it," Ayew explained. "We want third place and we'll give everything we’ve got to get it.

‘‘If we don't manage it, it won't be because we haven't given it our all. We have the quality and we have the mentality. We won't be playing mid-week matches any more so we'll have plenty of time to work hard."

Marseille finished second last season behind champions PSG and the two sides will clash on Sunday in the derby.
