Africanfootball.com understands that Esperance de Tunis have received an offer from French Ligue 1 side Marseille to sign their Ghanaian player Harrison Afful.

According to reports in the Tunisian capital, Marseille are looking at snapping up the versatile player during the next transfer window.

The Ghana international will be relatively cheaper for Marseille to sign now before heading to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup finals.

A publication on gnet.tn claims Esperance are studying the offer but the player is in the dark over a move to Europe.

“I haven’t heard anything yet and I am still keeping my fingers crossed,” the 27-year-old Africanfootball.com

“ I always here these stories and I know my time will come soon to play in Europe or elsewhere.”

Afful, who joined Esperance in 2009, can play on both sides as a wing-back, right wing and as a holding midfielder.

The former is fondly remembered for his goal which won the 2011 CAF Champions League for Esperance.
