Ghana coach Avram Grant would welcome the news of the return of Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah to full scale training as a massive boost.

The 26-year-old had been in the treatment room since last June after suffering an injury while training with Ghana's Black Stars in Accra.

Appiah has been named in the Palace squad for the Premier League and trained keenly with his club team-mates under the watchful eyes of Eagles manager Alan Pardew.

The forward, who was a revelation for Ghana at the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea, could be named in the Ghana squad by manager Avram Grant who is under pressure to revive Ghana's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification hopes.

Despite being at Palace since 2011 Appiah is yet to make his debut in the Premier League for the Eagles however he featured six times for them during their days in the Championship.
