Ghana have a huge chance of capping PSV Eindhoven striker Memphis Depay as he has been dropped from Holland's final 21-man squad to play Estonia and Andora in a World Cup qualifier next week.

The 19-year-old, whose father is Ghanaian, was one of the players targeted by Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to boost the squad of the West Africans as he seeks to build a formidable team.

There were huge fears for the Black Stars on Friday when the talented attacker was included in a provisional squad by Holland coach Louis Van Gaal which could have ended Ghana's chances of capping the youngster.

But the PSV Eindhoven striker, whose mother is Dutch, has been excluded from the final 21-man squad to play in the matches against Estonia and Andora.

This means Ghana can move to apply for a nationality switch for the youngster if he is interested in playing for the Black Stars.

Holland coach Louis Van Gaal looked to have has moved to cap the player at senior level to prevent Ghana from moving for a nationality switch for the talented youngster.

As the striker has played for the Dutch national Under 17, 19 and 21 teams, Ghana must apply for a nationality switch for the player before he can represent Ghana.

Depay is among several Dutch youngsters who are being rushed for international caps to prevent other countries from capping them.
