Match Preview: Wa All Stars vs Ebusua Dwarfs- Northern Blues return to base to get campaign back on track
Wa All Stars

Wa All Stars will be at the Malik Jabir park for their first home fixture of the new Ghana Premier League season when they welcome Ebusua Dwarfs this Saturday.

The Northern Blues need a victory on the weekend for a quick recovery from their slump on the first day.

They were pipped 1-0 by Ashanti Gold SC last Sunday.

As they failed to clinch victory in their first home game last term, the 2015/2016 league champions are poised to claim all the three points this time around.

Alhaji Mumuni Sokpari has won every home match in the league since taking over as head coach of the club.

Star man David Abagna Sandan remains sidelined with an injury and is out of Saturday's game.

He is expected back in a month time but Mathew Kelvin Andoh returns.

Ebusua Dwarfs had a good start to the 2017/2018 campaign with a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea on match day one last weekend in a controversial manner as the penalty awarded to them was seem dubious.

Joseph Edwin Amoah Mensah scored from the spot to seal the victory for the Crabs.

With this victory, the Mysterious Club travel to the Upper West regional capital with some sort of confidence as they aim picking at least a point on Saturday.

Their last visit to the Malik Jabir park saw them return to Cape Coast with a point after drawing 1-1 with the Northerners.

Coach Bashiru Hayford have a full squad at his disposal ahead of the journey to Wa this weekend except Kingley Nteng who is on a lengthy lay off due to an injury.

The centre back did not take part in the pre-season.
